Welcome to sudokueveryday.com (the “Site”). The Site is an online sudoku site operated by sudokueveryday.com (“we”, “us”). By browsing the Site or solving puzzles on it, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Site.

How we handle data about you is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

01The service

  1. The Site offers free browser sudoku: five difficulty levels and a daily puzzle, played right in your browser, with nothing to download and no sign-up.
  2. The Site also offers a beginner's guide covering the rules, the controls and solving techniques.
  3. The Site currently has no paid content and does not sell any virtual items.

02For entertainment only — no real money

  1. Solving times, stats and streaks are just game records. They have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for cash, goods or services.
  2. You may not use the Site for gambling or for any activity where real money or goods are won or lost, and you may not use puzzle results from the Site as the basis for such activity.
  3. You are responsible for following the laws where you live.

03Your game data lives on your device

  1. The Site has no accounts. Settings, stats, streaks and unfinished puzzles are stored only in the browser you are using.
  2. If you clear your browsing data, use a private window, or switch devices or browsers, that data will be gone. We keep no copy and cannot restore it for you.

04Puzzles, hints and guides

  1. Puzzles are generated automatically by our program, and every puzzle is checked to have exactly one solution. Difficulty levels are graded by the techniques a puzzle requires, so puzzles within the same level can still vary in difficulty.
  2. Hints and the beginner's guide reflect only the solving methods used by this Site's program. They are for practice and reference only and do not represent the only or the fastest way to solve a puzzle.

05Intellectual property

  1. Unless stated otherwise, the code, design, character illustrations, text and grid diagrams on the Site are our copyright. The rules of sudoku themselves belong to no one.
  2. You are welcome to share links to pages on the Site. You may not copy, republish or reproduce the Site's content, or use it commercially, without our written permission.

06Acceptable use

  1. Do not interfere with or disrupt the Site in any way, including attacking our servers, spreading malware or trying to bypass security measures.
  2. Do not use automated tools to scrape the Site in bulk or put excessive load on our servers. Normal indexing by search engines is fine.
  3. Do not use the Site for anything unlawful.

07Links to other sites

The Site links to third-party websites. We do not control third-party sites' content or data practices; please read their own terms and policies.

08Changes to the service

  1. We may add, change or remove game content and features at any time.
  2. We may suspend the service for maintenance, faults or reasons beyond our control, and we may shut it down permanently.

09Disclaimer and limitation of liability

  1. The Site is provided free of charge and “as is”. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its content is entirely accurate.
  2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site. Where the law nevertheless makes us liable, our total liability is limited to USD 10.

10Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

11Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, and the parties agree that the Taiwan Tainan District Court has jurisdiction in the first instance. If you are a consumer, any mandatory rights you have under the laws of the place where you live are not affected.
